In the last Danstip of the season, you will be introduced to a few ambitious dancers from the Rotterdam Dance Academy. What does a dancer’s day look like? What kind of background should someone have to become a dancer? In short, a talk about the hopes and dreams of students at the leading academy for contemporary dance.

Find out how the dancers are not only coached physically, but how also mental aspects play a part in their multi-facetted education. In addition to interviews and discussions with the artists, passages from the academy’s eclectic repertoire will be presented. Danstip is an initiative by the Lucent Danstheater and Holland Dance in partnership with Codarts/ the Rotterdam Dance Academy.

The Danstips will be held on the stage of the Lucent Danstheater, or in one of the studios. Dutch as well as English will be spoken.

This is a golden opportunity for dance lovers to dive into the dance programming of the Lucent Danstheater, and to delve deeper into the lives of dancers and choreographers.
