The programme Offspring by Nederlands Dans Theater 2 includes works by three striking home-grown choreographers: Johan Inger, Alexander Ekman and Lukáš Timulak. The ballet Offspring, which premiered on the day Timulak’s daughter was born, revolves around the fatherhood of the Slovakian choreographer, and exudes joy and happiness.

The Swede Johan Inger, who has been an associate choreographer with Nederlands Dans Theater since 2009, will create a new ballet for the junior ensemble especially for the Holland Dance Festival. The second world premiere on the programme is by Inger's fellow Swede, Alexander Ekman. This up-and-coming choreographer is in great demand, and he has already created more than 25 dance pieces for companies all over the world.
