It's one of those places in our society where everyone has to go sometimes to arrange the bureaucratic details of our lives. Everybody takes a number, everyone is treated the same, and no one is excluded. At least in theory… How patient are we with that slow senior citizen? Are we really happy about waiting while some kid gets a license for his scooter? What are those people doing in OUR city hall?! Today's society seems to be getting less tolerant all the time. Power and impotence, coming out on top and being kept down: in the The Hague city hall the actors use performance and dance to put tolerance and the changes in society to the test. The Chosen One is inspired by Le Sacre Du Printemps of choreographer Pina Bausch.
