In this workshop Alida Dors shares with the participants her method of working, which she also used in the process of creating  “Living apart Together”, the performance that is a part of the Holland Dance Festival 2012 program. The origin of the style is Hiphop, a young style  that still explores it’s possibilities. An open mind and curiosity are indispensable in this workshop as is your own style.

Alida Dors
In the last ten years, Alida Dors has made the transition from a hip-hop dancer to a choreographer developing new styles of movement. Alida Dors worked with a number of different dance crews from an early age. She has grown into a much sought-after dancer and has performed with various big stars such as Eternal, P. Diddy, and Usher. Her work displays social commitment and always proceeds from the hip-hop idiom. She collaborates regularly with other choreographers such as André Gingras, Krisztina de Châtel and Erik Kaiel. In addition she is also an instructor at the Amsterdam Theatre School where she gives dance fusion, and is the artistic director of the hip-hop movement Solid Ground Movement.
